Testimonials

KAREN OCHS

parent of rider

You will not find a better trainer or facility, my daughter spent almost 10 years at Black Ridge and couldn't have done better!

Gabby has been a part of BRF for over ten years and has loved horses her whole life. During the week, you can find her at the barn enjoying her horse or tacking up for training rides. On the weekends, Gabby is a bridal makeup artist. She feels extremely lucky that both of her hobbies and passions have become her careers. Ever since she was 6 years old, she dreamed of working with horses. Since moving back to Black Ridge Farm in 2013, Gabby has been a very important part of the farm family and loves every single one of our horses as if its her own.

We treat every horse as though it is our own.

Black Ridge Farm is a family-owned and operated full-care boarding facility on 32 acres in the Hudson Valley. Established in 2001, the farm has a long tradition of providing a full range of equestrian services including boarding, lessons, leasing and training, and showing.

ways to make horse riding safe and successful for all her students. Golden Opportunity aka “Sundance” was Brittany’s first horse and lived with her at BRF until she was 26 years old. She taught Brittany how to pursue the passion that is found in riding and to have the drive that leads to success. Brittany went to college at Centenary College in Hackettstown, NJ for business management. She graduated in three years with her Bachelors in Business and a minor in Equine Studies. And in 2021 she received her Master's in Business Management. Throughout college she worked and rode with highly skilled trainers to gain invaluable show experience and access to a range of professionals who continue to provide guidance and expertise that have helped Brittany and her students excel on the show circuit.  In April 2012 Brittany took over Black Ridge Farm from her parents and has been running it full time since. "We have a unique quality at Black Ridge that makes us stand out, we LOVE our jobs and the people we work with. At Black Ridge we are a family."
